Description

Urgent freelance work on Highgate Festival’s programme and poster updating and resizing from previous year’s artwork. Mostly production/typesetting with new copy for 2023 and adapting the same illustrations used by the previous designer.

01/ 1 x A3 poster for upcoming Highgate Festival 2023 in June. A modified poster from 2022 poster with new information.

02/ A 2023 programme using the same brand and illustrations from 2022 version. This is resized to A5 with 8 pages and 3 folds. Before it was A3 folded two-ways to A5.

Branded Highgate Society Posters

01/ 3 x A0 posters for upcoming Highgate Society’s stall in Fair in the Square 2023 in June.

02/ A smaller poster to go with Highgate Society’s stall for a litter picking challenge.

03/ Poster and social media post for a quiz event in April 2023.

04/ Carols poster for Christmas 2022. The Harington Scheme collected £1,320 on the night and attracted new younger crowds.

The pattern challenge was organised by Melanie Johnsson (#thepatternchallengebymel on instagram) during February 2023.

It was fun to discover and explore this for first time. I started the challenge with Procreate and sometimes used Adobe Illustrator on some themes. We had to create our own limited palette.

I also exercise my typography skills to reflect each theme.

01/ A collection of quotes on design designed to use on Instagram. Self initiated.

03/ Seamless collection of photos as montage using 4x jpegs on a post. Self initiated. An useful technique to stand out amongst other posts in feed.

Description
During February/March 2023, a social 3x3 design challenge was organised by Shannon @SketchDesignRepeat on Instagram and Facebook. Her weekly prompts are ‘Get Frosty’, ‘Nice To Sea You’ and ‘Fungi Forest’. This allow me to brainstorm and sketch out snowmen, ocean creatures and mushrooms. Here are my ideas. It was a great exercise for three weeks to explore potential patterns along with illustrations.
